Why Sunflower
Sunflower is the fastest-growing edible oil in Africa and Central Asia — higher yield per hectare than groundnut, drought tolerant, and commands strong export prices. Sunflower seed thresher is the first critical machine in any sunflower oil business.
Working Principle
Sunflower heads fed into the threshing chamber. A rubber-lugged iron drum rotates, dislodging seeds from the flower face. Grains fall through a screen. The SST-500 includes an integrated blower to clean seeds of light chaff, giving ready-to-use output for the oil press.

Thresher → (optional) Cleaner → Oil Press → (optional) Roaster → Filter → Bottle/Filler. Sunflower oil presses achieve 45–48% oil yield vs peanut 40–43%.

Q1.Does it thresh both sunflower and other oil seeds?
It is designed for sunflower heads. For rapeseed or sesame use our multi-crop thresher instead.
Q2.What capacity should I choose?
Small models handle 200-300 kg/h of heads for family farms; larger units reach 500-800 kg/h for cooperatives and contractors.
Q3.How clean is the output?
With the built-in blower the seed mixture contains under 5% impurities. A final winnowing or screening step gives market-ready seed.
